Folk art painting : an angel

This is a small original gouache painting.
It measures 7.2x10.5cm.
Gouache and pencil on mounting board, the back is covered with fabric.
The painting is not sealed so it is fragile. It should not be in contact with any source of wetness, please, be careful when you manipulate it. Do not keep in direct sunlight.

After years of sewing my dolls with all their tiny little details, my hands are starting to suffer a little bit and I feel the need to make them rest as much as I can.
My favourite way to relax both my mind and my hands is by painting small artworks. Just like I like my dolls to be not too big, I also tend to create little paintings. I use gouache because I love the textures and effects I can achieve with it and it fells like a continuity of my work with my textiles.
As time passes, I am starting to have more paintings than I can keep so I thought I could list them on my website so my characters can have a chance to show off their sweet and happy smiles to new families.
Although they are studio pieces, they are still created with great but keep in mind that they are artworks that are perfectly imperfect because this it the way I love to create.
