My name is Marie and I am the creator of the Little Bird Of Paradise.
I am a self taught textiles artist based in England and I create art dolls inspired by folk art and by my love of strange things.
I love to work with textiles because I find it a fascinating medium to convey beauty and emotions. As you can can see when looking at my creations, I aim to show how beauty can be found in the smallest details as well as in the weirdest and roughest makes. Although I am never looking for perfection in my creations, I am still working with great care to achieve the results that I want and that I love.
