Little Bear with Pink Bow

This is an handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.

I made this little bear from upcycled textiles that I have stained in coffee and tea. The fabric I used is very soft. I have sewn a little dress and a pink bow on the bear (not removable).
The eyes of the bear are made with acrylic pens while all the other details are stitched/sewn.
I have added extra stitches and stains and patches to give more "life" to this cute little one.

She is signed and she has a little loop at the back of the head do she can be displayed nicely on your walls. She cannot sit but could stand on a shelf against a book or a wall.
She measures approximately 17 cm (6.69 inches) from the top of her ears to her toes.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
