Little Fox

This is an hand sewn textile artwork inspired by my love for foxes.
It is made with a variety of fabrics and it features a little fox at its centre. Inspired by small quilts, I have created a little textile collage, like a patchwork of shapes, with no clear lines, lots of fraying and raw edges.
The fabrics that I have used are a mix of new and upcycled textiles. Most of them have been stained with tea or some coffee.

I have enjoyed working on this piece, building up textures and playing with colours.

The back is covered with a pink fabric and I have sewn two sleeves and added a dowel so it can be displayed on your walls.

Measurements:
It measures approximately 12.5x18cm or 4.9x7.08 inches.

It is signed.

As a doll maker and textile artist inspired by folk art, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.I
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
