My little owl

This is a handmade textile artworks inspired by folk art dolls.

It features a happy little one holding her owl friend in her arms.
They are made with fabric stained with coffee and a selection of upcycled materials for her clothes.
The boots are painted and the laces are made with thread.
The little owl is made with a few brushes of acrylic pen and embroidery stitches.

I have sewn a fabric loop at the back of her head so she can be hung on your walls. She cannot stand but can sit on her own although I would recommend to have her lean against a book (no worries if she falls head first or on her back, she is not fragile).
She should be kept away from direct sunlight and from any source of humidity.

She is not a toy.

Measurements:
She measures approximately 19 cm or 7.48 inches.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
