The matching bows

This is an handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

It features two little bears that we can imagine being a mum and a daughter.
They both have lovely red cheeks, only one eye and wear matching bows on top of their heads.
Their dresses (sewn on their bodies) are made from a selection of upcycled materials.
Their bodies are stained with coffee which gives them a nice colour and I have added a few darker stains here and there.
Little one stands on the front of her mum.
At the back, I have added a little loop so they can be displayed on your walls. They cannot stand nor sit.
I have also signed the artwork.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
