Valentine Collage

This is a handmade mixed media artwork.

Inspired by textiles collages and small quilts art, it features a small paperclay character. The face has been given an antique look which compliments the other upcycled materials.
She has long pink hair and one yellow eye.
I have added a neck made of fabric as well as two tiny arms. I have also given her a red heart also made of paperclay.

The back is covered with fabric and signed.
It can be displayed on your walls thanks to a piece of found wood attached to both sides with red wool.

Please display away from direct sunlight as well as from any moist environment.

The artwork itself measures approximately
Between 9 and 13.5cm width and 13 cm tall.
When hanging, the height will be 16 cm.
This is not a toy.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This is how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
