Hello Puppy!

This is an handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

It features a smiling little character holding a little dog in her arms
The girl has light blue hair (with one darker streak) and she has a bow in her hair.
She wears a white top and a pink pleated skirt (clothes are sewn on her body, they are not removable).
I have also painted red boots with white laces on her feet.
Her little furry friend is made of fabric that I have painted with acrylic, I tried to match the colours of a cute little dog picture I found on Internet.

At the back of the doll's head, I have sewn a fabric loop so she can be hung on your walls. She can sit against a wall or book but cannot stand on her own.
She is signed.
This is not a toy.
Please display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any humidity sources.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
