Pink Assemblage

This is a handmade mixed media artwork.

The bust and heads are made with paperclay and I have given it a antique look.
The eyes are painted with acrylic paint.
Her hair is a light pink curly mohair. It is not attached on the sides, just at the top for a strange and weird effect. The little party hat is made of paper-mâché and is sewn on, it is not removable.
The body is covered with pink Felted wool. I have sewn some vintage lace to give the illusion of a collar. She also has a big red heart made of paperclay sewn on her left side.
She is mounted on an upcycled toy cube which I have painted red and given a distressed effect. The bust is not removable from the cube.

Measurements
It measures approximately 21 cm or 8.25 inches.

Please display away from direct sunlight or from any source of water.
Dust lightly with a dry cloth.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This is how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
