Green Spring Fairy

This is an handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.
It is a little Spring Fairy with green hair (felting wool), a lovely upcycled dress, fabric wings and a beautiful stitched smile. Spring is my favourite season of the year and I am happy to celebrate it with colourful and happy little fairies.
She is measuring approximately 13.5cm.
She has a loop at the back so she can be displayed on your walls.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
