Bunny Ears Forest Spirit

This is a textile artwork inspired by folk art and by my love of fairytales and woodland characters.
This Forest Spirit is hand sewn from calico and muslin/cheese cloth. I have dyed my fabrics in purple/grey tones. The eye is a black glass eye traditionally used for teddy bears making.
I have also used little natural things found in my garden or during walks like sticks and twigs. Everything has been sealed, the twigs have also been lightly painted in yellow tones.
At the back of artwork, I have added a little loop so the doll can be hung on your walls. Please, keep away from direct sunlight and any source of wetness.

This is not a toy.
It measures 30cm from the to of the right ear to the tip of the right leg.
The artwork is signed.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
