A wandering Spirit

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

The Wandering Spirit is a good interpretation of how we can feel sometimes. She is made from many bits of fabrics stitched together. Her legs are made of wood and are rooted deep in the little wood slice she stands on. Her arms are made of string, they cannot hold on anything but the are open to embracing the world.
She has a hole in her middle.
Her face is very minimalist, one stitched eye and one little nose.

She is signed.
She measures approximately 18.5 cm or 7. 5 inches tall.

Display away from direct sunlight and from any source of water.

If ordering from the USA, please be aware that the tax exemption for all goods entering your country will end on the 29th of August. Deliveries usually take around 10 days to reach their destination but this is not always the case so there is always a risk that any orders could get taxed.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
