Little white cat

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.

As a cat lover, I always enjoy creating little dolls featuring them whether they are companions of my characters or the character themselves.
This little cutie is made from cotton fabric and painted white with a few suggestions of darker stripes at places. The paint is unevenly applied. She wears a blue and white stripes top and a floral pink pleated skirt with a few patches here ane there and she has a bow stitched on her head.
In her hands she holds a ball of red wool.

She is not a toy.
She is signed.
She has a loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed nicely on your walls.
Please display away from direct sunlight and from any contact with water.
Measurements
She measures approximately 18 cm or 7 inches.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
