Kitty and friend brooch

This is a handmade textile brooch inspired by my bigger artworks.

This little kitty might be really mini in size, she is packed with happiness and is so adorable. She holds her little fish friend in her arms and they are ready to explore the world by your side.
They are made from a mix of new and upcycled materials. Kitty is painted with acrylic paint while little fish is dyed with Inktense.
At the back, the brooch is signed and I have sewn a fastening behind the head.

She is not a toy and should be kept away from children, fire and water.

Measurements
She is approximately 10 cm or 3.94 Inch tall.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
