The Haunted Sisters

This is a haunted textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.

I always have a soft spot for my two heads ladies. I find them extremely cute and I love to imagine them chatting away about what they see.
These two have each one button Eye, a tiny stitched nose and long black hair with a bow.

Their dress is made of a dark red polkadots fabric. I have sewn a few patches on it and added some blemishes. I have also painted a little portrait on an upcycled tea bag and sewn it on the dress.
Their boots are painted with a thread as laces.

At the back, she is signed and I have added a little loop at the back so she can be displayed nicely on your walls.
Please, keep away from direct sunlight and from any contact with a source of water.

Measurements
This art doll measures approximately 24 cm or 9.4 inches (top of the bow to boots). It is pretty thin and slim.

This is not a toy.
As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
