Kitty and fish

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

I would love to have a tuxedo cat one day and this little cutie was a joy to create.
She is handmade from calico that I have painted with acrylic.
I have stitched her cute nose as well as a few red freckles.
She wears a pretty and colourful outfit and holds a big friend fish in her arms.
She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed on your walls nicely.
She cannot sit and could stand against a heavier object but she will be very wobbly.
Please, display away from direct sunlight and avoid contact with water.

Measurements
She measures approximately 20cm or 7.8 inches.

She is signed.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
