Bunny and carrot

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

It features a very happy character with big ears, holding a carrot.
She is handmade from a mix of new and upcycled materials.
Her eyes are painted as well as her teeth. Her smile and nose are stitched. She has red cheeks and long ginger hair (mohair wool). She also has two bunny ears sewn on.
She wears a pink outfit and red shoes with white laces. In her arms, she holds on tight to a little carrot made of fabric.

She has a loop at the back of the head so she can be hung on your walls. She cannot stand on her own. She can sit if propped against an object.

She measures approximately 20cm or 8 inches.

Please note that she is not a toy, she is designed for display.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This is how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
