Brooch 2

This is a handmade textile brooch.

It is made with fabric (usually upcycled) and acrylic pens.
To draw my little characters, I am using my sewing machine with a free motion foot which allows me to sew freely in any direction.
I always enjoy making these little pieces because they are full of happiness and cuteness.

Measurements are approximate. 5cm long and 5.5 wide

I have sewn a brooch fastening on the back.
It is also signed.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This is how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
