This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.

This little cutie is handmade from calico fabric that I have tainted in light grey.
She has beautiful white whiskers, red cheeks and cute ears on each side of her head.
She is dressed in a beautiful outfit with a few patches. In her arms, she holds a little ball of red wool but I think she knows she is not supposed to play with it... Now, she is a little cat so she doesn't really care much🙃

She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed nicely on your walls. She cannot sit nor stand on her own.
Please display away from direct sunlight and from any contact with water.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
