Alice and Rabbit

This is a textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls and by the book Alice in Wonderland.

She is made from fabric and I have lightly painted it on her face, arms and her legs.
Her hair is made from yellow muslin cloth, her smile is stitched as well as her nose.
She wears a dress made from upcycled fabric. I gave her red shoes with white laces.
At her feet, I have added Rabbit and his necklace watch. He is made from fabric too.

At the back, she is signed and I have sewn a loop at the back of her head so she can be hung on your walls nicely.
She is not a toy.
Please display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any contact with water.

Measurements
She measures approximately 17cm or 6.5inches.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
