Les Yeux Roses, a Forest Spirit

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls .
Les Yeux Roses is a gentle little Soul who likes to watch the world go by especially in her own wonderful secret land inhabited by mysterious creatures but she also enjoys wandering at the border of our world and she loves to imagine how we live.
She is handmade from multiple layers of new and upcycled materials. She has two wings made from fabric and a little arm made from paperclay. Her eyes are painted with acrylic and he hair is made of white bamboo and white felting wool. Her tail ends up with a mermaid tail and she has two bunny ears at the top of her head. The ears are wired so they can be gently twisted in different positions (a reasonable amount of times).

At the back, I have sewn a little loop so the artwork can be displayed nicely in your home.
Please, keep away from direct sunlight and from any source of water.

The artwork is signed and is not a toy. Please manipulate carefully.

Measurements
Les Yeux Roses is approximately 13cm or 5.11 inches tall with the ears as shown in the pictures and 13cm or 5.11 inches at its widest.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
