This is a handmade textile artwok inspired by folk art dolls.

This lovely little skeleton is handmade from lighlty painted calico. Her eye is a black glass eye and her teeth are 4 white beads. She has rosy cheeks and wears a blue bow on top of her head.
Her outfit is made of a yellow polka dot cotton skirt and her top is a portrait with a yellow eye painted on a teabag.
On her back, this little creature has two blue wings and a paperclay skull head attached at their centre.

I have sewn a little loop on the back of her head so she can be displayed nicely and easily in your home. Please keep away from direct sunlight as well as from any contact with water.

The artwork is signed.
Measurements
It measures approximately 16. 5cm or 6.5 inches.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
