The Fish Girl
This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.
Fish Girl and her cute little puppy both love to live by the sea. Every day she grabs her yellow boots and she is on her way to new adventures, her hair floating in the wind.
They are both handmade from textiles, most of them being upcycled. They are painted with acrylic.
In her hair, she has a wooden star painted orange. She wears a top with purple stripes and many patches to make it (almost!) as new again. Her skirt has a floral pattern with a few patches too.She wears some kind of stripy bloomers and her famous yellow boots.
She is signed.
Measurements
She measures approximately 22cm/8.6 inches, her head is 9cm/ 3.5 inches wide.
She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be nicely displayed in your home.
Please display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any contact with water.

This is an art doll created for display only.
As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
