The radish painting

This little one is handmade inspired by folk art dolls.
She is a mixed media artwork, I have used paperclay, textiles and wood to create her.

Her sweet little face as well as her arms are made from paperclay and they are sewn to her body. I have given them a crackled effect for a well loved effect.
Her head is covered with a pink faux fur and she has two cat-like ears.
Her dress is sewn in an upcycled polka dot fabric. I have given the fabric a distressed look with the help of extra stitches, patches and stains. On the dress, I have painted a mini radish on a teabag paper. She also has a red heart attached to her chest.
I have carved her legs in wood and attached them to her body so that they can be dangling in an endearing way.

She is signed.
She is not a toy and was created for dispaly only. Please manipulate gently.

I have sewn a little loop at the back of her head so she can be displayed easily and nicely on your walls. She cannot stand but could sit on a shelf when propped against a heavy object.

Please display away from direct sunlight and from any contact with any sources of water.

Measurements
She measures approximately 16 cm or 6.2 Inch at her longest.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
