Yellow Eyes, a Forest Spirit

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

This little beauty with yellow eyes is the latest member of my ongoing Forest Spirit collection. I like to imagine little creatures who would live in a mysterious and enchanted world hidden from our view.
Yellow Eyes is made from a mix of new and upcycled materials. The fabric I have used to make her have been frayed, dyed and stained sometimes and sewn in multiple layers. Her arm is made of paperclay. She has two blue wings and the end of her tail is a snail shell that I have found in my garden and painted in golden tones.
At the back, the artwork is signed and I have sewn a little looped string so she can be displayed easily and nicely in your home.

Measurements
She is approximately 11cm or 4.3 inch tall and 10cm or 3.9 inch wide.

Please display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any contact with any source of water.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
