A new kitty friend

Little kitty is not exactly sure to understand what is happening to him but it looks like he just found a new forever friend in that lovely girl with curly hair, yay!

They are both made from calico cotton which has been painted and dyed/stained. The little girl's hair is made of blonde curly mohair wool. Her eyes are painted and her mouth stitched in a beautiful smile. Her outfit is made of some upcycled materials and she is bare feet.
She holds her new little black cat safely and tightly in her arms.

She is signed and I have sewn a little loop a the back of her head so she can be displayed nicely and easily on your walls.
She cannot stand but could sit when propped against a wall or any heavy object.

Measurements:

She is approximately 16cm/6.3 Inch tall.

Please display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any sources of water.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
