A sweet little dog

This is an handmade textile artwok inspired by folk art dolls.

I am not used to be around dogs but I always enjoy watching them during our daily walks and creating little art dolls featuring them.
This little one is really lovely in her beautiful outfit. She is made from painted fabric with a stitched smile and red cheeks. Her outfit has known better days and we can see a few patches here and there but she is still very "chic" I think. In her arms she is holding tight on a little bone (she is a very good girl!).
She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed nicely on your walls.
She cannot stand nor sit.

She is signed.

Measurements:
She measures approximately 19cm or 7.5inches.
Please keep away from direct sunlight and from any contact with a source of water.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
