Blue Heart Jumper

This is a handmade textile artwok inspired by folk art.

This little cutie is handmade from a mix of new and upcycled materials. She wears a floral pink skirt dyed in tea for a "used" look. Her jumper is cut in a pink jumper which used to belong to my daughters. I have added a blue heart patch in the centre.
Her face is pretty simple with a black glass eye, a tiny stitched nose and a big stitched smile. She also has big red cheeks. She wears a little scarf like object around her face and I have given it the shape of a bunny hat, I thought it felt really cute with her ginger hair.
In her arms, she is holding a wee carrot made of textiles.

Measurements
She is a small thing and measures approximately 14cm or 5.5inches.

I have sewn a little loop at the back of her head so she can be displayed nicely in your home. She is signed.
Please, display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any source of water/humidity.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
