The heart stealer

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.

She is a tiny little thing but beware, she already stole one heart, she might also steal yours!
She has one button Eye, the other is painted on her face. She has a stitched nose and mouth and hair made from what I would call farm or garden string.
I have sewn a few bits of fabrics on her front to give her the illusion of a dress. I painted red shoes on her feet.
She holds a white paperclay heart under her arm.

She is signed and has a loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed nicely on your walls.

Measurements
She's measures approximately 15 cm.
She cannot stand. She can sit against a wall or something heavy.
Please keep away from direct sunlight and from any contact with water.

She is not a toy, she was created as an art object.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
