Poppy red dress

This is a handmade mixed media artwork inspired by my dolls.

I always love to paint my little characters so I am really happy to be able to combine painting with my textiles. I also love the texture of paint on fabric, I find the rough effect quite delightful.

This little ornament has a loop to be displayed nicely on your walls, Christmas tree or anywhere you fancy really.
She measures approximately 15 cm.
She is signed, unique and original.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
