This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art dolls.

This is my first time creating a little crocodile doll and I cannot believe how it took me so long to think about it....
This beautiful little one is made from calico fabric that I have lightly dyed in green. I have stitched her pretty and gentle smile and drew her two eyes.
She is wearing a red polka dot top with a lace collar and a button. Her skirt is cut in a floral pink fabric.
I have painted two black boots and added white thread for laces.

At the back, she has a loop so she can be nicely displayed on your walls. She is signed.
Please, display away from direct sunlight and from any source of wetness.

Measurements
She measures approximately 26cm or 10.3inches.

This is not a toy, she was created as an artwork, for display only.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
