Fish Friend

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

Little kitty is very proud to introduce you to her new friend, a little fish! She knows other fish are supposed to be "dinner" but she'd rather play and have fun with him (also, her food bowl is always full, it does help).
She is handmade from a mix of new and upcycled materials. Her body is painted with acrylic paint.
Little fish is also made of painted textiles and is safely attached to his friend's arms.

In the back, the artwork is signed and I have sewn a loop so it can be displayed nicely on your walls.

Measurements
The artwork measures approximately 15 cm or 6 inches.
Please display away from direct sunlight and keep away from any source of water.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
