Little Bug

This is a handmade mixed media artwork.

This lovely little bug is made from upcycled textiles and paperclay.
The face is very minimalist with a single black glass eye and two pinkish cheeks.
She has black hair, not much, tied in two small bunches on each side of her head.
Her body is covered with layers of fabric. I have used many colours for a joyful appearance.
She has two small arms and two feathers as wings sewn on her back.

She is ready to be displayed on your walls thanks to a little loop sewn at the back of her body.
Please display away from direct sunlight and from any source of water.

Measurements
She measures approximately 16 cm.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This is how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
