Sidonie the Witch and the cat with no name

This little witch is handmade inspired by folk art dolls.

I very rarely name my dolls but this one must have been thinking Sidonie so loud that I heard it... So I i had no other choice but to accept it , it suits her perfectly anyway.

Sidonie is handmade from a mix of new and upcycled materials. Her hat and body are painted with black acrylic paint, her face is lightly painted too. Her black hair is made of felting wool. In her arms she carries A Cat With No Name, a lovely and cute little black kitty.
Her broomstick is attached to her back , a very practical way to never lose it and to not be late at the monthly Witches' Meeting. The broomstick is made of a wood stick and hay bale string.

Please note that this is not a toy.
In the back, she is signed and I have sewn a little fabric loop so she can be dispalyed nicely in your home.
Please display away from direct sunlight and keep protected from any contact with water.

measurements:
Sidonie measures approximately 19.5 cm/7.6 inches in height and is 14 cm/5.5 inches at its largest width (broom+doll).

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
