A big fish friend

This is a handmade textile artwok inspired by folk art dolls.

This little calico kitty is delighted to be able to carry her big fish friend in her arms for the pictures. They are both smiling as they are both so happy they are friends.
Kitty is made from textile painted in calico colours (acrylic paint). She wears a nice outfit with a pretty yellow polka dot skirt and a pink bow on top of her head.
Blue fish is also made from painted fabric (inktense).
He is safely attached to his feline friend.

At the back, I have sewn a little loop so the artwork can be displayed nicely in your home.
Please, keep away from direct sunlight and from any source of water.

The artwork is signed and is not a toy. Please manipulate carefully.

Measurements
This artwork is approximately 15cm /5.9 Inch tall.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
