A Forest Fairy

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by nature.

It is hand sewn from a mix of new and upcycled textiles.
The little fairy has wired legs covered in muslin cloth. She also has a tiny bit of tea bag paper used in her dress. As for her delightful little hat, it is made of an acorn top she found in her Found Treasure's box.

This fairy is 14cm tall approximately (a good size in a fairy land).
She has a little string on her back so she can gently hang around in your home.
She is signed.

Please note that this is not a toy, it is created for display.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This is how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
