Kytty Witch and the Pumpkin

This is a handmade textile artwork inspired by folk art.

Kitty Witch is very proud of the big pumpkin she has grown in her garden and she is already imagining all the beautful soups she will be able to cook with it...maybe even a pie??

She is handmade from painted textiles to give her some calico like colours. She wears a little hat and a beautiful dress with a few patches. In her arms, a pumpkin made of textiles. On her back, I have attached a broomstick that Kitty likes to have handy in case she needs to fly to the shop next door.

She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed nicely in your home.
Please, keep away from direct sunlight and from any contact with water.

Measurements
She measures approximately 20cm or 7.5inches.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
