Pumpkin Girl II

This is a textile artwork inspired by folk art and by autumn.

This cute little Pumpkin Girl is very happy to be wearing a beautiful and colorful dress. Maybe she will be crowned "Queen of the Patch" at the next Fall Show?
She is made from calico fabric painted in bright orange. She has a stem popping from the top of her head and two green leaves on top of her head.
Her dress is made from a mix of new and upcycled materials with a few patches here and there. In her arms she holds a bunch of yellow garden flowers (painted with acrylic).

She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be displayed nicely on your walls. Please display away from direct sunlight and avoid any contact with water.
She is signed.

Measurements
She measures approximately 15cm or 5.9 inches.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
