This is a mixed media art doll inspired by my love for weird things and strange characters.

The doll is made with calico that I have painted with acrylic paint.
Once I was happy with my colours, I started to randomly add colourful stitches.
The legs are dangling from her front body, the left one is is decorated with yellow, pink and white beads.
Her face is painted, only her nose is a stitched bit of fabric.
Her right eye is a yellow button.
Her hair is made of pink felting wool and she has a pink ribbon on top of her head.

The doll measures approximately 21cm or 8.3 inches.
She has a little loop at the back of the head so she can be hung on your walls.
She cannot stand. She can sit on a shelf against a book.
She is not a toy.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
