Little teeth doll

This is a little art doll inspired by folk art techniques as well as by my early works.
She is handmade from coffee dyed fabric and some upcycled textiles too.

One of her eyes is made of fabric and paint, the other is a glass eye.
Her teeth and cheeks are stitched. Her hair is a thread of wool and I have added two blue bows on each end.

Her clothes are not removable, her dungarees are sewn on her body.
I have added patches and stitches all over her and her clothes for a distressed effect.

She measures approximately 19cm.
She cannot stand on her own but can be propped again a wall or a book on a shelf.
She is made of one single body part (except for the added arms) and as such she cannot sit.
I have added a loop (not pictured) at the back of the head so she can also be hung on your walls.

She is not a toy, she is designed to be displayed and manipulated by adults only.
She is signed.

As a doll maker inspired by folk art dolls, I want to say that the fabric fraying, the threads still showing or the way things are attached to each other are all voluntary processes. This is the way I find that my creations are beautiful. This how I feel they are unique and original. It shows their frailties, flaws and their strength altogether.
I am working with upcycled materials mostly.
